Etta Lee Tucker, 81, of Michigan City, Indiana, died Friday, January 12, 2007, at St. Luke?s Hospital, Cedar Rapids, Iowa, following a brief illness. Services: 11:00 a.m. Friday, January 19, 2007, at the Free Methodist Church, 3001 Ohio Street, Michigan City, Indiana, where the family will greet friends from 10:00 a.m. until service time. Burial: Greenwood Cemetery, Michigan City.
Survivors include her children, Billy Dewayne Tucker (Lynn) of Amarillo, Texas and Barbara Ann Cox (Michael) of Cedar Rapids, Iowa; seven grandchildren, Carrie Wilson, Debra Maddox, Sheila Parish, Jeffrey Tucker, Nora Van Camp, Anna Westphal and James Cox; five great-grandchildren, Taren Tucker, Landen Tucker, Ashleigh Downie, Jessica Parish and John Wilson; and a brother, John Clifford Masterson (Laura) of Oklahoma City, Oklahoma.
She was preceded in death by her parents; her husband, James; a sister and brother-in-law, Frances Ward and Dale Ward; a son, James Don Tucker; a daughter and son-in-law, Patsy Sue and Robert Loyd Maddox; and a grandson, William Tucker.
Etta Lee was born March 10, 1925, the daughter of John and Mabel (Hampton) Masterson, in Holcomb, Missouri. On October 26, 1940, she was united in marriage to James Melvin Tucker. He died August 22, 1991.
Memorials may be made to the American Diabetes Association, American Cancer Society or the American Heart Association in memory of Etta Lee Tucker.
