Esther Favor Groothuis, 18, of Dubuque, Iowa, formerly of Marion, Iowa, entered into her eternal reward on Thursday, November 21, 2024, surrounded by her family. Friends may visit with the family from 9:30 – 11:00 a.m. on Tuesday, November 26, 2024, at Murdoch Funeral Home & Cremation Service in Marion. A private family service will be held with burial at Oak Shade Cemetery in Marion.
Esther was born May 27, 2006, in Kampala Uganda and brought to Iowa on July 6, 2012. She moved to Hills & Dales in Dubuque, Iowa on December 12, 2013.
Esther was preceded in death by her sister, Ariana Marie; her mother, Jenny Marie and grandmother, Marilyn May.
She leaves to grieve her father; fourteen siblings; step mother; step brother and many relatives and friends.
