Esther J. DeWitt, 34, of Hiawatha, died Tuesday, March 19, 2013, at St. Luke’s Hospital from complications of pneumonia. Memorial Services: 11:00 a.m. Monday, March 25, 2013, at Squaw Creek Baptist Church in Marion by Rev. Michael Kleeberger. Visitation will be one hour prior to the service at the church. Burial to take place at a later date. Arrangements by Murdoch Funeral Home & Cremation Center in Marion.
Survivors include her mother, Ruby DeWitt of Hiawatha; her father, Robert DeWitt of Davenport; and three brothers, Robert DeWitt Jr. of Hiawatha, Mark DeWitt of Davenport, and Timothy DeWitt of Davenport.
She was preceded in death by her grandparents.
Esther was born January 5, 1979, the daughter of Robert and Ruby (Easterling) Dewitt in Danville, Virginia. She was a member of Squaw Creek Baptist Church.
A memorial fund has been established in Esther’s memory.
