Ernie John Quint

Ernie J. Quint, 86, of 1535 Douglas Ct., Marion, died, Sunday, May 11, 2008, at Northbrook Manor Care Center following a courageous battle with cancer. Services: 11:00 a.m. Wednesday, May 14, 2008, at Murdoch Funeral Home & Cremation Center, Marion, by Rev. Nick Needham. The family will greet friends from 4 - 8 p.m., Tuesday, May 13, 2008 at the funeral home. Graveside services will be Wednesday at 2:30 p.m. at Evergreen Cemetery, Delhi, Iowa.
Survivors include his wife, Joeann of Marion; his children, Bob (Barb) Quint of Cedar Rapids, Margie (Bud) McFadden of Cedar Rapids, and Kathy (Steve “Tusdy”) Enabnit of Central City; two sisters, Alice Milligan of Manchester, Clara Reth of Delhi, and brother John (Dorothy) Quint of Chetek, Wisconsin; a sister-in-law, Bernice Quint of Cedar Rapids; 7 grandchildren, and 3 great-grandchildren.
He was preceded in death by his parents and one brother, Leo.
Ernie was born February 18, 1922, the son of John and Sophia (Hemmer) Quint, in Worthington, Iowa. He married Joeann Pulver on November 14, 1947 in Delhi, Iowa.
In lieu of flowers, a memorial fund has been established in Ernie's name.
