Erma Margaret Ellis (Tracy)

Erma M. Ellis, 84, of Manchester, died Friday, December 28, 2007 at the Good Neighbor Home in Manchester following a brief illness.
Funeral services will be 10:30 a.m. on Wednesday, January 2, 2008 at the First Baptist Church in Manchester by Rev. Jake Each & Rev. Dale Hutchcraft. Family will greet friends from 3-7 p.m. on Tuesday at the Bohnenkamp-Murdoch Funeral Home & Cremation Service in Manchester and one hour before services Wednesday at the church. Burial will be in Oakland Cemetery, Manchester.
Erma was born March 19, 1923, in Manchester the daughter of Merlin S. and Bertha M. (Barker) Tracy. Erma graduated from Manchester High School in 1941 and attended Northwestern Bible College in St. Paul, Minnesota. She then worked for Schultz Brothers in Manchester. On March 23, 1946 Erma was united in marriage to Elton M. Ellis at the First Baptist Church parsonage in Manchester. After raising their children, Erma worked at Ertl in Dyersville for 15 ½ years, until retirement.
Ermais survived by her husband, Elton Ellis of Manchester; four children, James E. (Linda) Ellis of Ankeny, Shirley (B. James) McNamara of Cedar Rapids, Donald J. Ellis, Sr. of El Paso, TX and JoAnn M. (Brian) Reimer of Marion; ten grandchildren, Nicole (Darrell) McElligott, Teresa (Timothy) Dea, Linae (Jeff) Smith, Darin Ellis, Kristina Ellis, Donald Ellis, Jr., Brian Ellis, Rachel, Caleb & Seth Reimer; six great-grandchildren, Dylan, Reegan & Brennan Silver, Mark Ellis, Tae Ellis and Tinley Dea; and a sister, Evelyn Dunn of Manchester.
Erma is preceded in death by her parents, Merlin & Bertha Tracy; four sisters, Ada Keoppel, Leone Moser, Elizabeth Tracy, and Doris Tracy in infancy; and one brother, Earl Tracy.
