Eloysie P. (McLeroy) Wilson, 80, of Cedar Rapids, went home to be with the Lord, Monday, July 12, 2010, at Living Center East in Cedar Rapids. Services: 1:00 p.m. Saturday, July 17, 2010, at Murdoch-Linwood Funeral Home & Cremation Service in Cedar Rapids by Pastor Rod Dooley of Oak Hill Jackson Community Church. Visitation will be from 4-8 p.m. Friday at the funeral home. Burial: Oak Hill Cemetery, Cedar Rapids.
Survivors include her son, Lance C. Moreland of Cedar Rapids; a sister, Aljean Richardson of Chicago, Illinois; two granddaughters, Tanea and Tiffany Moreland; and several nieces, nephews, and cousins.
She was preceded in death by her parents; her husband, George; her daughter-in-law, Vanessa Moreland; and her brother-in-law, Jim Richardson.
Eloysie was born January 2, 1930, in Iowa City. She graduated from McKinley High School in 1948. Eloysie married George Wilson, Jr. in 1953. He died in 2000. She worked at Rockwell Collins for thirty-seven years, retiring in 1987.
Eloysie was a member of Seaside Lighthouse Association in Cedar Rapids. She loved her family and was a loving, caring person who did the best she could for everyone she knew.
A memorial fund has been established in memory of Eloysie.
