Ellen G. Brutsman

Ellen G. Brutsman, 92, a resident of Crestview Acres Care Center and longtime Marion resident, died Sunday, April 18, 2004, at the care center, following a short illness. Services: 11 a.m. Thursday, April 22, 2004, at Murdoch Funeral Home & Cremation Center in Marion by Rev. Kevin Jones. Friends may call from 3-7 p.m. Wednesday at the funeral home. Graveside Committal Services: 2:30 p.m. Thursday at Pine View Cemetery in Delaware, Iowa.
Survivors include her son, Robert Brutsman and wife Pam of Marion; a brother, Kenneth Larson of Delaware, Iowa; four grandchildren, Jenny Bilderback and husband Mike of Memphis, Tennessee, Sarah Brutsman of Marion, Tim Brutsman and wife Kelley of Vinton and Tony Brutsman of Marion; a great-grandson, Tristan; and numerous nieces and nephews.
She was preceded in death by her parents; her husband; three sisters, Dorothy, Emma and Olga; and two brothers, Oscar and Hans.
Ellen was born August 17, 1911, in Delaware County. On February 22, 1949, she married Louis L. Brutsman. He died October 23, 1998. She was a member of the Lutheran Church of the Resurrection.
A memorial fund has been established in Ellen?s memory.
