Ellajean Rabik (Mcarthur)

Ellajean Rabik, 87, of Center Point, died Wednesday, October 6, 2010, at St. Luke’s Hospital. Private Services will be held. The family will greet friends from 3 to 6 p.m. Sunday, October 10, 2010, at Murdoch Funeral Home & Cremation Service, Center Point. Burial: Alice Cemetery, rural Center Point.
Survivors include her children, Ronald Rabik of Center Point, Gary Rabik of Kingman, Arizona, and Cheryl (Hawley) Clark of Center Point; nine grandchildren; 14 great-grandchildren; and four great-great-grandchildren.
She was preceded in death by her parents; eight brothers and sisters; and her husband, Merl.
Ellajean was born November 21, 1922, the daughter of James and Cassie McArthur, in rural Shellsburg, Iowa. On June 6, 1941, she was united in marriage to Merl Rabik at the Little Brown Church in Nashua. He died October 13, 2006. A homemaker and farmwife, Ellajean enjoyed fishing and playing cards. She was a member of the Alert Homemakers Club.
