Elizabeth B. Passmore, 97, of Manchester, died Tuesday, July 19, 2005 at the Good Neighbor Home in Manchester, Iowa, after a lengthy illness.
Funeral services will be at 10:30 a.m. on Friday, July 22 at First Lutheran Church in Manchester by Rev. Harlan Kaden. Friends may call from 4:00 until 7:00 p.m. on Thursday at the Bohnenkamp-Murdoch Funeral Home & Cremation Service in Manchester and one hour prior to services Friday at the church. Burial will be in Oakland Cemetery, Manchester.
Elizabeth was born on October 8, 1907, the daughter of Ernest C. and Emma A. (Theel) Richter in Dundee. She received her education in Dundee. Elizabeth was a homemaker and worked as a domestic for area families throughout her life; last being for Carl Gienapp family in Delaware.
Elizabeth was a member of First Lutheran Church in Manchester, a former member of St. John?s Evangelical Lutheran in Dundee and St. Paul?s Lutheran in Delaware. She enjoyed scrap booking and keeping diaries.
Elizabeth is survived by a daughter, Maxine Paar of Dubuque; five grandchildren, Kenneth (Prasi) Paar, Kevin (Sara) Paar, Karla (Ronald) Bell, William (Joan) Timmons and Mark (Julie) Timmons; fourteen great grandchildren; eight great-great grandchildren; and a sister, Arleta (Fred) Svaldi, of Manchester.
She was preceded in death by her parents; a daughter, Kathryn Timmons; sons-in-law, Walter Paar and William Timmons; a granddaughter, Kathryn Paar; four sisters, Zelda Balluff, Helen Dutton, Ilene Haars and one in infancy.
