Elizabeth (Liz) Eileen Liston, 84, a resident of the Winslow House Care Center in Marion, died Thursday, March 12, 2009, at Mercy Medical Center, following a long illness. Per Elizabeth’s wishes, she has been cremated. The family will greet friends on Sunday, March 15, 2009, from 1 ?" 4:30, at Murdoch Funeral Home and Cremation Service in Center Point. A meal will then be served at 5:00 p.m. at the LJL Hall in Center Point at 908 Main St. in Center Point. A private family burial will be held at the Troy Mills Cemetery.

Survivors include her children, Denny (Susan) Dollash of Quasqueton, Michele (Gary) Smith of Marion, and Tamra (Randy) Stark of Center Point; a brother, Cletus Crane of Keystone; 7 grandchildren, Tonya (Brian) Hall of Marion, Tom (Kaila) Carroll of Milaca, Minnesota, Amy Dollash and fiance’ Eric Hrabak of Belle Plaine, Casey (Stan) Bickel of Quasqueton, Shay (Kenny) Berns of Quasqueton, Joseph (Lindsey) Stark of Palo, and Jamie (Steve) Kelly of Center Point; 7 great-grandchildren, Ashlen & Amerie Hall, Dakota & Drake Carroll, Charlee & DeLanee Bickel, Tucker Berns, and Aiden Stark.

She was preceded in death by her parents; husbands, Vernon & Donald; a son, Chris Liston; siblings Jerry, Joe and Mary; and half siblings, Don, Delbert and Delcia.

Elizabeth was born April 9, 1924, the daughter of Jess and Mary (Malary) Crane, in Clayton County, Iowa. She married Vernon Dollash. They later divorced. She then married Donald Liston. Elizabeth was catholic in faith and a former member of the Eagles Club.

The family would like to express their sincere gratitude for the care that Elizabeth received from Dr. John Lancaster, Winslow House Care Center, Mercy Medical Center, and Hospice of Mercy.
