Elijah Jacob “Eli” Main, 17, of Central City, died Wednesday, September 26, 2007, at Mercy Medical Center in Cedar Rapids, Iowa. Services: 10:30 A.M., Tuesday, October 2, 2007 at United Church of Christ in Central City, Iowa, by Rev. Jonna Jensen. Visitation will be held from 4 ?" 8, Monday, October 1, 2007 at Murdoch Funeral Home and Cremation Center, Marion, and one hour prior to the service on Tuesday, at the church. Burial: Blodgett Cemetery, Central City, Iowa.
Survivors include his father, Roger Main of Central City; his mother, Lisa Barth of Alburnett; maternal grandmother, Patti Barth of Marion; and paternal grandmother, Bobbie Crandall of Cedar Rapids. Also surviving are several aunts, uncles, and cousins.
He was preceded in death by his great-grandmother, Lorene “Mucca” Eilers; his great-grandfather, Bob Barth; three loving grandfathers, Dale Main, Joe Barth, and Fred Crandall; and two aunts, Lorie Barth and Annette Main.
Eli was born April 3, 1990, the son of Roger Main and Lisa Barth. Eli was a senior at Alburnett High School. Growing up, Eli was involved in many sports and especially loved soccer. He enjoyed spending time with his friends playing video games and just hanging out. Eli loved all animals, especially his pet dog, “Chuy”.
A memorial fund has been established in Eli’s name.
