Eleanor Ruth Tilley

Eleanor Tilley, 78, of 1440 38th Street S.E., Cedar Rapids, died Friday July 21, 2006, at home surrounded by her family. Her body has been donated to the University of Iowa for research. Services are pending. Arrangements by Murdoch-Linwood Funeral Home & Cremation Service, Cedar Rapids.
Survivors include her husband, Loye "Jack?; her children, Mike (Carol) Tilley of Bloomington, IN, Larry (Teresa) Tilley of Memphis, TN, and Debra McDonough of Cedar Rapids; her grandchildren, David (Kaeve) Tilley, Jenny Deckard, Chris (Tina) Tilley, Lucas Tilley, Corey (Amber) Tilley, Sarah McDonough and Michelle McDonough; great grandchildren, Josh, Tyler, Lexi, Brandon, Morgan, and Mikayla; sister, Joyce (Gene) Bahnsen of Cedar Rapids; aunt, Grace Hines of Cedar Rapids; and two nieces, Sharon and Pam.
Eleanor was born May 27, 1928, in Manchester, Iowa. On February 4, 1946, she was united in marriage to Loye "Jack? Tilley in Minneapolis, MN. She was an Avon representative for 47 years winning numerous Avon awards and was also a homemaker. She was a member of AA for 43 years. She enjoyed visiting with her friends at the fellowship club and mushroom hunting with her husband, their grandchildren and their friend, Barb.
Eleanor enjoyed spending time with her family, especially her great-granddaughter, Mikayla who was her daily dose of comfort and inspiration.
