Elder Issac Albert Bentley, 74, 807 Camburn Ct. SE, died. Tuesday, March 1, 2005, at St. Luke?s Hospital, Cedar Rapids, following a longtime illness. Services: Noon Saturday, March 5, 2005, at Murdoch-Linwood Funeral Home & Cremation Service, Cedar Rapids, by Bishop Hurley Bassett, Jr & Mother Bassett, Pastor George Stevens, Supt. Jerald J. Woods, Sr. and Elder Robert Oliver. Friends may call from 5 to 8 p.m. Friday, March 4, 2005, at the funeral home. Burial: Oak Hill Cemetery, Cedar Rapids.

Survivors include his wife of 44 years, Gertrude; two daughters, Gertrude (Minister Toddy) Bernard of Louisville and JoAnne Bentley of Kansas City, Missouri; a son, Donald Bentley of Kansas City; many grandchildren, including Hilton, Hilliary, Holly and Hoston Bernard; many great-grandchildren; and two sisters, Nadine Bentley of Springfield, Illinois, and Helen Stemmon of Columbus, Missouri.

Issac was born the son of Watson and Allie Mae Bentley in Roach Port, Missouri. In 1960, he was united in marriage to Gertrude Green in Denton, Texas. Issac worked for the city of Cedar Rapids in the city sanitation department and also was a painter, roofer and carpenter. He was a member of the Holy Temple Church of God in Christ of Cedar Rapids. Issac enjoyed fishing, hunting and loved to work.

Lunch will be held at the Jane Boyd Community Center following the burial.
