Elaine Blondell Coombs, aged 95 years and 9 months, of Marion, passed away Thursday December 4, 2014, at Willow Gardens Care Center. Private Burial was held at Cedar Memorial Park Cemetery, Cedar Rapids. A Celebration of Elaine’s Life: 10:00 a.m. Saturday March 14, 2015, at Murdoch Funeral Home & Cremation Service, Marion, by Rev. Linda Livingston. Friends may call one hour prior to the services at the funeral home in Marion.
She is survived by many cousins, nieces, and nephews.
Elaine was born March 9, 1919, in Newhall, Iowa, to John and Josie (Olson) Johnson. She was preceded in death by her parents; husband, Allen; and all of her siblings.
In lieu of flowers, memorials may be directed to St. Andrew’s Lutheran Church, Cedar Rapids.
