Eileen S. Kramer, 97, of Cedar Rapids, died Saturday, June 22, 2013, at the Hiawatha Care Center, Hiawatha. Funeral Service: 10:30 a.m. Thursday, June 27, 2013, at St. Joseph Catholic Church, Marion, by Father Tony Kruse. The family will greet friends one hour prior to the service at the church on Thursday. A vigil service will be held at 3:30 p.m. Wednesday, June 26, 2013, at Murdoch Funeral Home & Cremation Center, Marion, with a visitation to follow from 4-7 p.m. Graveside Service: 2:00 p.m. Thursday, June 27, 2013, at St. Pauls’ Cemetery, Worthington, Iowa.

Eileen is survived by her children, Joan (Ed) Leahy of Sac City, Lois (Jim) Hickman of Cedar Rapids, Mary Foley of Fennimore, Wisconsin, Carolyn Nolan of Cedar Rapids, John Kramer of Monticello, Arlene (George) Walker of Cedar Rapids, and Julie Gettler of Marshalltown; 21 grandchildren; 29 great-grandchildren; siblings, John Wolfe of Clinton, Kay (Don) Link of Epworth, and Ronnie (Jean) Wolfe of Worthington.

She was preceded in death by her parents; a daughter, Ann Kramer; a grandson, David Hickman; four brothers; five sister; and sons-in-law, Robert Foley, and Jim Nolan.

Eileen was born January 8, 1916, the daughter of Charles and Laura (Baehler) Wolfe, in Worthington, Iowa. At the age of 15 she graduated from St. Paul’s High School in Worthington. On May 1, 1935, she married Arnold Kramer. He passed away in 1992.

Eileen was a member of St. Joseph Catholic Church, Marion. She enjoyed playing cards and loved spending time with her family.
