Eileen F. Dolan, 98, of Ryan died Sunday, May 15, 2011.
Funeral Services: 11:00 a.m., Saturday, May 21, 2011 at St. Patrick’s Catholic Church in Ryan by Rev. John Flaherty. Visitation: 4:00 – 8:00 p.m., Friday, May 20, 2011 with a 4:00 p.m., Rosary Service at Bohnenkamp-Murdoch Funeral Home in Manchester, and one hour before services Saturday, at the church. Burial: Calvary Cemetery in Ryan.
Eileen was born August 8, 1912 in Ryan, the daughter of Daniel Lyness and Margaret Burke. She graduated from St. John’s High School in Ryan and then attended State Teachers College in Cedar Falls. On June 28, 1947, Eileen was united in marriage to Clair F. Dolan. Eileen taught elementary school for 20 years.
Eileen was a member of St. Patrick’s Church in Ryan.
Eileen is survived by three children; Cate Dolan, Margaret (Charlie Moore) Dolan, and Julie (Bruce) Dolan Frana; three grandchildren, Tito Herrera-Moro, Maura Frana, and Gabe Frana; and brothers and sisters-in-law, Peg Lyness, Ozzie (Marge) Dolan, Cecile (Jim) Salz, Emmet (Jeane) Dolan, and AnnaMae Dolan.
Eileen was preceded in death by her husband, Clair Dolan in July 1969; her parents, Daniel and Margaret Lyness; siblings, Dolores Zieser, Stella McEnany, Thomas Lyness, Regina Donahue, Mariam Vifian, Louise McEnany, Bernard Lyness, and Marcella Leonard.
