Eileen Louise Marsh Herr Davis, 88, of 2709 Meadowbrook Dr. SE, formerly of Conway, AR, left her earthly place on November 8, 2005.

In her own words, "I am home in Heaven, dear ones; Oh so happy and so bright! There is perfect joy and beauty in this everlasting light. All the pain and grief are over; every restless tossing passed; I am now at peace forever, safely home in Heaven at last!?
Eileen loved the Lord her God with all her heart and with all her soul and with all her mind and with all her strength. She loved her family and dear friends more than words can say. Married Edward Carty Herr November 7, 1936, who preceded her in death January 13, 1984. Married Erskine Davis on May 8, 1988, who preceded her in death on January 22, 1999. Also preceded in death by her parents, Jewel Vest Marsh and Anna Mary Kern, along with her sister, Julia Margaret (in childhood). She is survived by three sons and "daughters in love,? Don and Carol Herr of Cedar Rapids, Barry and Teddi Herr of Grove, OK, Ken and Ann Herr of Allentown, PA; along with 12 grandchildren; and 20 great-grandchildren who knew her as "great-ma.?
Born in Polo, MO, Eileen moved to St. Louis, MO as a child and raised her family there. In 1964, she moved to Conway, AR and then to Cedar Rapids, IA in 2004. She has suffered with grace and dignity and now lives with the Lord.
"You must not grieve so sorely, for I love you dearly still; Try to look beyond earth?s shadows, pray to trust our Father?s will.? We celebrate her grand reward in heaven even while we grieve our earthly loss.
In lieu of flowers, contributions in her memory may be made to the Southern Baptist Disaster Relief Fund and mailed to Immanuel Baptist Church, 1900 F Ave. NW, Cedar Rapids, IA 52405.
