Edith Florence (Warrington) Meader, 95, a resident of the Anamosa Care Center, died there, Monday, December 23, 2013. Funeral Services: 1:00 p.m. Friday, December 27, 2013, at Murdoch Funeral Home & Cremation Service, Central City. The family will greet friends from 11:00 a.m. until 1:00 p.m. prior to the service at the funeral home. Burial: Mt. Clark Cemetery, Central City.
Survivors include her children, Myrna Douglas of Florida, Robert (Martha) Meader of Anamosa, Janet (Charles) Wall of Texas, Geraldine (Mike) McDonald of Brighton, and Alfred Meader of Texas; 14 grandchildren; numerous great-grandchildren; and one brother, Chancy Warrington of Missouri.
She was preceded in death by her husband Frank; and four siblings.
Edith was born on September 1, 1918, in Sigourney, Iowa, the daughter of William and Bessie (Brooks) Warrington. She graduated from high school in Masonville. On September 12, 1937, she was united in marriage to Frank E. Meader. Edith ran her own business Edith’s Upholstery from 1971-1996.
