Earl John Siegel, 88, formerly of Earlville, Iowa, went to be with the Lord, Thursday, March 13, 2014, at the Dubuque Nursing and Rehab in Dubuque, Iowa.
Memorial Mass: 10:00 a.m., Saturday, March 22, 2014, at the Church of the Resurrection, 4300 Asbury Road, Dubuque, Iowa, by Rev. Joseph L. Hauer. Burial will be in St. Joseph’s Catholic Cemetery, Earlville, Iowa. .
Earl was born November 20, 1925, the son of Andrew and Margaret (Tierschel) Siegel. On November 21, 1970, Earl was married to Dorothy M. Benke at St. Joseph the Worker Catholic Church in Dubuque. The couple farmed near Earlville. Earl enjoyed playing cards, bingo and going to the casino with family and friends. Earl made friends easily and wanted to make people laugh and have fun.
Earl is survived by several nieces and nephews.
Earl was preceded in death by his wife, Dorothy, in 2002; his parents; and four siblings, Walter Siegel, Emil Siegel, Marcella Siegel and Clara Claus.
