Dwayne Lloyd Fenton, 76, of 5409 J. Street SW, passed away peacefully, Monday, June 23, 2003, at home with his family by his side, following a short illness. Services: 10:30 a.m. Friday, June 27, 2003, at Murdoch-Linwood Funeral Home & Cremation Service, Cedar Rapids, by the Rev. William Harnish. Friends may call from 4 to 7 p.m. Thursday, June 26, 2003, at the funeral home. Burial: Cedar Memorial Park Cemetery, with military rites.

Survivors include his children, Brad Fenton and wife Sheri, Danny Fenton and friend, Tammy, Larry Fenton and wife Christine, all of Cedar Rapids, Tammy Bleyle and husband Jeff of Momence, Illinois, and Teri Smith of Las Vegas, Nevada; eight grandchildren; three great-grandchildren; three sisters, Dorothy Wood, Linda Huber, both of Cedar Rapids and Patty Brogan of Illinois; three brothers, Dwight Fenton of Cedar Rapids, Donnie Fenton of Colorado and Dean Fenton of Marion; a special lifelong friend, Alleen of Cedar Rapids; and his longtime little companion, LacyKay.

He was preceded in death by his parents; and his wife, Bertha.

Dwayne was born June 11, 1927, the son of Lloyd and Edna Burgin Fenton in Strawberry Point, Iowa. He served with the United States Navy during World War II. On May 15, 1952, Dwayne was united in marriage to Bertha M. Wrigley. She died March, 2000. He was retired from Wilson Foods in Cedar Rapids. Dwayne loved to go fishing, NASCAR and was a big Tony Stewart fan. He was dearly loved and will be greatly missed by his family and friends.
