Dwaine L. Tague, 79, of North Liberty, passed away peacefully surrounded by family following a long battle with cancer on Monday, August 27, 2018. A graveside service will be held at 10:30 a.m. on Friday, August 31, 2018, at Oak Shade Cemetery in Marion. Arrangements by Murdoch Funeral Home & Cremation Service, Marion.
Dwaine was born October 14, 1938, in Anthony, Kansas, the son of Ralph and Maude (Flinn) Tague. He graduated from Anthony High School and Friends University. Dwaine served in the United States Navy during the Vietnam War. On October 18, 1969 in Lincoln, Nebraska, he was united in marriage to Esther Krause. Dwaine and his wife owned and operated several motels over the years and in retirement was employed at Midwest Janitorial. He enjoyed working and never missed a day. Dwaine also loved spending time with his granddaughters.
He is survived by his wife, Esther; daughter, Krista (Rob) Wiley; granddaughters, Elysia and Alexis Wiley; and many other extended family and friends
Dwaine was preceded in death by his parents and a brother, Glenn Tague.
In lieu of flowers, memorials in Dwaine’s memory may be directed to Hospice of Iowa City.
