Duane M. Jeurissen, 54 of Monticello, IA died Friday, October 12, 2012. Visitation will be 5:30 pm – 8:00 p.m., with a 7:00 p.m. Prayer Service, Tuesday, October 16, 2012 at the Hopkinton Community Church. Inurnment will be in the Ft. Snelling National Cemetery, Minneapolis, MN. Clifton-Murdoch Funeral & Cremation Services are in charge of arrangements.
Duane was born July 20, 1958 in Minneapolis, MN. Following graduation, Duane enlisted in the United States Army serving from September 1976 until his honorable discharge in September 1979.
Duane worked at Foam Rubber Co., in Monticello. He enjoyed hunting, fishing and the outdoors. He was always tinkering on something, tending to his garden, or raising his ducks and adding to his collection of duck memorabilia.
Duane is survived by one daughter, Shannon (Brian) Goldsmith of Earlville; three grandchildren, Ashton, Ava, and Evan; one sister, Cathy Hammer of Minneapolis, MN; one brother, Jeffrey (Sandy) Fuhrman of Chaska, MN; three nieces, Sherri Lieske, Sheila Odden, and Katherine Fuhrman; and a nephew, Christopher Fuhrman.
Duane was preceded in death by his parents.
