Douglas J. Selzer, 36, of Fairfax, died Wednesday, February 26, 2002, in his home. Services: 10:00 a.m. Saturday, March 1, 2003, at Murdoch-Linwood Funeral Home & Cremation Service, Cedar Rapids, by the Rev. Tom Carver. Friends may call from 4:30 to 7:30 p.m. Friday, February 28, 2003, at the funeral home. Burial: Fairfax Cemetery.
Survivors include his parents, David and Mary Lou Selzer of Fairfax; two brothers, Sam (wife Jacinta) Selzer and Dan Selzer, all of Fairfax; a niece, Grace; two nephews, Ben and Marcus; and numerous aunts, uncles and cousins.
Douglas was born April 29, 1966, the son of David and Mary Lou Snell Selzer, in Cedar Rapids, Iowa. A longtime resident of Fairfax, he was a member of the United Methodist Community and an avid Hawkeye fan. Douglas enjoyed vacations at the lake, swimming and attending many Hawkeye Sports events. He will be missed by all of his family and friends.
