Douglas “Bug” Wullner, 48, of Cedar Rapids, Iowa, died Friday, January 24, 2014, after an ongoing illness at St. Luke’s Hospital. Services: 1:30 p.m. on Wednesday, January 29, 2014, at Murdoch-Linwood Funeral Home & Cremation Service, Cedar Rapids, conducted by Rev. Edwin Moreano. Reception will follow at 4 p.m. at IBEW Hall, 1211 Wiley Blvd SW, Cedar Rapids.
Survivors include his wife, Donna Wullner; children, Raelene (Sean) Cordero and Fred (Ashley) Tobin; step-son, Ryan Tobin; siblings, Kevin (Elizabeth) Wullner, Terri (Kevin) Schissel, Mike Wullner and Laurie (Beau) Smith ; dad, Ron Karr; granddaughter, Breanna Tobin and six other grandchildren; goddaughter, Natasha Swallom; niece Stephanie Hinton; nine nephews; several great nieces and nephews; and numerous friends that are family.
He was preceded in death by his mother, Barbara Karr (Varner), father, Robert, Wullner; and brother, Steve Karr.
Doug was born on January 24, 1966, in Iowa City. He married Donna Rae Campbell on June 10, 1994. Doug enjoyed disc golfing and spending time with family and friends was most important to him.
In lieu of flowers a memorial fund has been established.
