Dorothy B. Marshall, a resident of Willow Gardens Care Center in Marion, died there Friday, June 8, 2007. Graveside services: 4 p.m. Thursday, June 14, 2007, at Riverside Cemetery in Anamosa. A Celebration of Life will be held at 5:00 p.m. Thursday, June 14, 2007, at the Knights of Columbus, 5650 Kacena Avenue, Marion. The Rev. Mike Morgan will officiate. Arrangements are with Murdoch Funeral Home & Cremation Center in Marion.
Survivors include a daughter, Heather (Brett) Brown of Anamosa; two brothers, Charles (Marge) Spicka of Fairfax and John Spicka of Washington State; three grandchildren, Caleb, Levi and Claire; and a niece Karla Spicka.
She was preceded in death by her parents.
Dorothy was born the daughter of John and Libbie Spicka on December 26, 1939, in Cedar Rapids. She owned and operated Marshall’s Unisex Styling and Wild Hair in Cedar Rapids.
She loved her grandchildren, shopping and cats.
A memorial fund has been established.
