Dorothy was born on September 29, 1937, in New London, Iowa, the daughter of Kendall and Myra (Linkin) Andrews. She was a graduate of Brooklyn High School. On June 19, 1955, Dorothy was united in marriage to Robert “Bob” Carl Juett in Brooklyn, Iowa. She and Bob raised their family in a home that was built with their own hands, east of Marion. As a true homemaker, Dorothy's family always came first. She was very involved in her children's interests. She was a school room mother, Cub Scout leader, and 4-H leader. After that time, she worked as an administrative secretary for both First Assembly of God and then Collins Radio, until her retirement. Dorothy was a former member of First Assembly of God, where she and her husband were active church volunteers and spent many hours happily helping others. Later, she became a member of River of Life Church. She was a current member of the First Baptist Church – Church of the Brethren. Dorothy was an extraordinary seamstress and enjoyed sewing and quilting. She shared her talent by teaching many others to sew. She had a knack for home decorating and in addition to her own home, she helped others decorate their's. She spent lots of time in the outdoors, gardening, camping, and water/snow skiing. She loved to travel, even traveling to Europe for her 80th birthday and to Alaska with her son and daughter and their spouses. Dorothy will be greatly missed by all who knew and loved her.

In her own words: “I have been blessed with a very good life. Bob went to Heaven, and I miss him every day.”

Dorothy is survived and lovingly remembered by her two children, Jerry (Janet) Juett of Marion, and Barbara (Richard) Schmidt of Custer, South Dakota; six grandchildren, Ryan (Angela) McCullough, Nathan Hahne, Janae (Nathan) Scherer, Jason Juett, James (Kelsey) Juett, and Jonathan (Alyssa) Juett; seven great-grandchildren, Joshua McCullough, Jana Johnson, and Caleb McCullough, Aspen, Genevieve, and Natalie Scherer, and Cameron Juett.

She was preceded in death by her parents; husband of 55 years, Bob in 2010; and sister, Ariadna Palmer.
