Dorothy E. Jones, 86, a resident of the Hiawatha Care Center, formerly of Cedar Rapids, died Thursday, October 23, 2003, at the care center, following a short illness. Graveside services: 11:00 a.m. Wednesday, October 29, 2003, at the Linwood Cemetery, Cedar Rapids. Arrangements by Murdoch-Linwood Funeral Home & Cremation Service, Cedar Rapids.
Survivors include two nieces; a nephew; and great-nieces and nephews.
She was preceded in death by her parents; a brother, Wilson Jones; and a sister, Margaret Hotz.
Dorothy was born March 13, 1917, the daughter of Wilson and Julia Kofren Jones, in Cedar Rapids, Iowa. She worked for the Higley Building in Cedar Rapids.
