Dorothy was born on February 20, 1933, at home near Amana, Iowa, the daughter of Leo and Helen (Coufal) Vanourney. On June 20, 1956, Dorothy was united in marriage to John P. Crilley in Central City, Iowa. She was a homemaker for many years before working at Dunkin’ Donuts, then later at Rockwell Collins in the reproduction department until her retirement. Dorothy was a member of St. Joseph Catholic Church in Marion. She loved to shop, work jigsaw puzzles, and to color. She loved her trips to the Kentucky Derby and Disney World with her son, daughter-in-law, and granddaughters, and spending time at her brother and sister-in-law’s home near the Wapsi River. But more than anything she loved spending time with her son, daughter-in-law, and granddaughters. Dorothy will be greatly missed by all who knew and loved her.

Dorothy is survived and lovingly remembered by her son, Michael Crilley and loving daughter-in-law, Christine of Cedar Rapids; her two adoring granddaughters, Leah and Elle; and siblings, Betty Supple of Marion, Don Vanourney of Grand Junction, Colorado, Richard (Karen) Vanourney of Central City, Frank Vanourney of Marion, and Katy (Gary) Gadient of Delhi, Iowa.

She was preceded in death by her parents; husband; siblings, Leona (Edgar) Waters, Leo (Karen) Vanourney, and Lois Cornthwait; and two sisters-in-law, Loretta Vanourney and JoAnne Vanourney.
