Doran John Beitz
April 23, 1935 — April 4, 2005
Doran John "Barney? Beitz, 69, of Alburnett, died Monday, April 4, 2005, in his home after a short illness. Per Barney?s wishes, there will be no services or visitation. Private inurnment will take place at Lafayette Cemetery in rural Alburnett at a later date. Arrangements are by Murdoch Funeral Home & Cremation Center, Marion.
Survivors include four sisters, Mae McAtee of Troy Mills, Ruth Kline of Hiawatha and Fay Newman and Joyce Morris, both of Marion.
Also surviving are many nieces and nephews.
Barney was preceded in death by his parents; five brothers; and one sister.
The son of Charles and Emma (Pickering) Beitz, Barney was born April 23, 1935, in Alburnett. He served briefly in the U.S. Army.
In lieu of flowers, donations may be directed to a charity of the donor?s choice in Barney?s memory.
