Donna K. Walker, 74, of 203 Ann Street SW, Cedar Rapids, died, Friday, October 3, 2008, in her home, following a brief illness. Services: 10:00 a.m. Monday, October 6, 2008, at Murdoch-Linwood Funeral Home & Cremation Service, Cedar Rapids, by the Rev. Del Bear. The family will greet friends from 4 to 8 p.m. Sunday, October 5, 2008, at the funeral home. Burial: New Gray Cemetery, Knoxville, Tennessee.
Survivors include her husband, James; her son, Donald Chaney of Anaheim, California; two sisters, Betty Jean Smith of Montezuma, Iowa and Glenda Spry of St. Paul, Minnesota; and two brothers, Kenneth Smith of Montezuma and Dennis Smith of Belle Plaine.
Also surviving are two grandsons, Don Chaney and Mitch Chaney of California.
She was preceded in death by her parents; three brothers, Tilman, Charles and Carson; and two sisters, Helen and Dorothy.
Donna was born September 21, 1934, the daughter of David and Alice (Parvin) Smith, in Lenox Township, Iowa County, Iowa. In 1975, she married James Walker in Rock Island, Illinois.
A memorial fund has been established in memory of Donna.
