Donna Patricia Chaffe

Donna Patricia Chaffe, 48, of Cedar Rapids, formerly of Toronto, Ontario, Canada, passed away Monday, October 13, 2014, after a courageous battle with breast cancer. The family will greet friends from 4:00 p.m. to 6:00 p.m. Thursday, October 16, 2014, at Murdoch Funeral Home & Cremation Center, Marion. A Celebration of Life will follow at 6:00 p.m., where friends may share memories.
Survivors include her husband James; son, Erik; her father, Ted; sisters, Diane Stephen, Carol (David) Hrecniuk, Melanie (Randy) Bellamy; and a strong circle of friends.
She was preceded in death by her mother, Shirley; and her brother, Bruce.
Donna was born January 9, 1966, in Peterborough, Ontario, the daughter of Ted and Shirley (Barringer) Stephen. She married James, on September 7, 1997, in Newcastle, Ontario. She enjoyed hockey, nature, history, and the hobbies of jewelry making, and genealogy. Donna especially loved spending time with her son, Erik.
In lieu of flowers, memorials may be directed to the Iowa Breast Cancer Action Foundation in Donna’s memory.
