Donna Brust, 77, of Mayden Avenue SW, Cedar Rapids, Iowa, died Thursday, September 18, 2003, at Mercy Medical Center, of complications following surgery. Services: 2:00 p.m., Saturday, September 20, 2003, at Murdoch-Linwood Funeral Home & Cremation Service, Cedar Rapids, by Sister Mary Lechtenberg of St. Ludmila?s. Friends may greet family from 1 - 2 on Saturday at the funeral home. Burial: Linwood Cemetery, Cedar Rapids.
Survivors include her daughters, Susan Viall and fiancé Jerry Shramek of Cedar Rapids, Cathy Tiernan and husband Ralph of Marion, Mary Jo Bender and husband Greg of Minneapolis, Minnesota; five grandchildren, Christopher Viall, Heather Schmatt, Nathan and David Tiernan and Erik Bender; three great-grandchildren; two sisters, Betty Bolton and husband Bill of New Berlin, Wisconsin, and Mary Clark of Bellevue, Iowa; and a sister-in-law, Mary Jane Eganhouse of Bellevue, Iowa.
She was preceded in death by her parents; her husband, Mark, and a brother, Edward.
Donna was born June 3, 1926, the daughter of Edward and Leona (Blitzen) Eganhouse, in Bellevue, Iowa. She married Mark A Brust on May 6, 1953. He died April 5, 1986. Donna worked as a keypunch operator at Collins, Square D and Cherry Burrell. She will be greatly missed.
