Donna Jean Bellach
October 24, 1943 — June 19, 2014
Donna Jean Bellach, 70, of Marion, died Thursday, June 19, 2014 in her home with her family following a brief battle with lung cancer. Funeral Services will be held Monday, June 23, 2014 at 1pm by Deacon John Malone at Murdoch Funeral Home in Marion. The family will greet friends from 5:00 p.m. to 8:00 p.m. Sunday, June 22, 2014 at the funeral home in Marion. Burial at Mt. Calvary Cemetery, Cedar Rapids.
Donna is survived by her son & daughter-in-law, Jeff and Tracey Bellach of Marion; grandsons, Kasey Bellach of Marion and Kody Bellach of Cedar Rapids; and several nieces and nephews including a very special niece, Shirley Hinz, who shared many hours of her time in the last few weeks.
She was preceded in death by her parents; a sister, Eileen (Bill) Hoffman; and brother, Lyle Hurt.
Donna Jean was born October 24, 1943, in Cedar Rapids, the daughter of Walter and Leona (Sievers) Hurt. She was a life-long member of St Matthews Catholic Church in Cedar Rapids. Donna worked at Turner Microphone for many years until its closing and has since worked as a bookkeeper and most recently in child care. She enjoyed arts and crafts, flowers and spending time with friends and family as she was everybody's favorite aunt and friend.
