Don was born February 16, 1939, to Packy and Elizabeth (Ward) Reilly. Don graduated from St. Patrick’s High School in Ryan in 1957. Following high school, he served in the U.S. Army. Don was united in marriage with Mona McDonald on September 3, 1962. He and Mona have been active members in the community and St. Patrick’s Catholic Church in Monti.

Don was a dedicated farmer, husband, and father, having spent his entire life on the family century farm. He enjoyed volunteering with the Marion Public Library, was an avid Packer fan, and card player. He left this life exactly the way an Irish farmer would have wanted; in his work boots
on St. Patrick’s Day.
