Donald Ray Henderson

Donald Henderson, 74, of Anamosa, died Friday, May 15, 2009, at St. Luke’s Hospital in Cedar Rapids. Per Don’s wishes, there will be no formal service. However, the family will greet friends from 4-7 p.m. Monday, May 18, 2009, at Murdoch Funeral Home and Cremation Center in Marion.
Survivors include his wife of 55 years, Elsie; son, Mark (Carol) Henderson of Plantation, FL; daughter, Diane (Jim) Seng of The Woodlands, TX; three grandchildren, Gavin and Lauren Henderson, and Luke Seng. Don is also survived by a brother, Robert (Phyllis) Woodford of Cedar Rapids; and sister, Beverly Lillie of Alburnett.
He was preceded in death by his parents; and brother-in-law, Willis Lillie.
Don was born April 7, 1935, in Central City, to Heil and Naomi (Connor) Henderson. He was married to Elsie Annis on June 19, 1954, at the Spring Grove Church in rural Coggon. Don owned and operated Linn Litho Printing in Marion for 40 years.
In lieu of flowers, a memorial fund has been established in Don’s memory.
