Donald B. Feltes, 68, of Springville, died Saturday, November 2, 2002, at his home, from injuries sustained in an accident on his farm. Services: 10:30 a.m. Wednesday, November 6, 2002, at St. Isidore Catholic Church in Springville by Father David Ambrosy. Friends may call from 4-9 p.m. Tuesday at Murdoch Funeral Home & Cremation Center in Marion where a Scripture Service will begin at 7:30 p.m. and a Rosary will be recited at 5 p.m. Burial: Springville Cemetery.

His family includes his wife of 39 years, Mary Ann; his children, Linda Feltes of Streamwood, Illinois, Mark Feltes of Streamwood, Illinois, Diane Feltes of Des Moines, Alan (Monica) Feltes and their children, Nathan and Trenton of Crystal Lake, Illinois, Julie (Dennis) Mahoney of Bondurant, and Kurt Feltes of Springville; a brother, Bill (Marlene) Feltes of Coggon; and two sisters, Jean (Jeff) Greenwood of Hopkinton and Janice (Louie) Besler of Worthington.

He was preceded in death by his parents and two sisters, Laura Schaub and Bernadette Feltes.

Don was born April 24, 1934, the son of John and Irene (Schuster) Feltes in Worthington, Iowa. On October 8, 1963, he married Mary Ann Steffen. He served with the U.S. Army during the Korean Conflict. Don farmed and worked for 26 years at Wilson Foods/Farmstead. He was a member of St. Isidore Catholic Church in Springville, a member of the Farm Bureau, a member of Knights of Columbus Council No. 1821 of Monticello and a past member of the meatpackers union.

Don was a loving and caring husband, father and grandfather. He was dearly loved and will be greatly missed.

In lieu of flowers, a memorial fund has been established in Don?s memory.
