Donald Earl 'Butch' Chesmore Jr.

Donald Earl “Butch” Chesmore, Jr., 75, of Urbana, Iowa, died Wednesday, November 9, 2022, at Mercy Medical Center in Cedar Rapids, Iowa. A celebration of life will take place in the spring of 2023. Private family burial will be held at Shiloh Cemetery in Hiawatha, Iowa. Murdoch-Linwood Funeral Home & Cremation Service in Cedar Rapids is assisting the family.
Butch was born March 1, 1947, in Cedar Rapids, the son of Katherine (Franks) and Donald Earl Chesmore, Sr. He was united in marriage to Pamela Fuller on September 5, 2002, in Cedar Rapids. Butch worked as a heavy equipment operator for the City of Cedar Rapids until his retirement in 2002.
Survivors include his brother, Nathan Chesmore of Cedar Rapids; and stepchildren, Kathy Kirby, Mary (Tom) Weber, Stephanie Kirby, Eddie (Sheila) Kirby, and Jeanne (Mike) Stoner; many grandchildren and great-grandchildren; and former wife, Evelyn Stewart.
He was preceded in death by his parents, Katherine and Donald Chesmore, Sr.; wives, Pamela Fuller Kirby Chesmore, Betty Chesmore, and Linda Chesmore; son, Donald Lee Chesmore; brother, Terry (Shirley) Chesmore; and sister-in-law, Goldie Chesmore.
Memorials may be directed to the American Heart Association.
