Donald Robert Bedell

Donald Robert Bedell, 87, a lifelong resident of Whittier, died Wednesday, December 21, 2011, at St. Luke’s Hospital, Cedar Rapids. Services for Don will be held at a later date. Arrangements by Murdoch Funeral Home and Cremation Center, Marion.
Survivors include his wife of 53 years, Martha; son, William Donald Bedell; and daughter, Elizabeth Anna Bedell, all of Whittier. He is also survived by his twin sister, Dorothy (Clifford) Guindon of Barnesville, OH.
Don was born February 11, 1924 in Whittier, the son of William and Anna (Smith) Bedell. He graduated from Springville High School in 1942. Don married Martha Chamness on November 28, 1958, in Iowa City. He farmed in and around Whittier for his entire life.
