Donald Dale Rhodes, 77, of Forney, Texas, formerly of Center Point, passed away Tuesday, April 1, 2014. Visitation from 4-7 p.m. on Friday, June 27, 2014, at Murdoch Funeral Home & Cremation Service, Center Point. Burial: 10:00 a.m. Saturday, June 28, 2014, at Oliphant Cemetery, Toddville.
Don was born in Ramsey, Illinois, on Oct. 24, 1936, to the late Glen and Josie Rhodes. He married Janette Cress on Aug. 21, 1970. He retired from Enos Bros Construction in 2006 and enjoyed fishing and camping in his spare time.
Don is survived by his wife; and children, Randy, Bret (Julie) of Hiawatha, Brian of Cedar Rapids and JaDon (Roger) of Forney, Texas. He is also survived by his grandchildren, Dustin, Amanda, Breana, Jannah and Cameron; siblings, Florence, Nelvin, Ada and Teddy; and several nieces and nephews.
He was preceded in death by siblings, Clyde, Oral, Earl, Lenora, Darrell, Freida, Betty Wuanita, Nancy and Jerry.
