Dolores Tollefson

Dolores Tollefson, 84, of Cedar Rapids, Iowa, died Wednesday, March 3, 2021, at The Villages in Marion. Private family graveside services will be held at Linwood Cemetery, Cedar Rapids. Murdoch-Linwood Funeral Home & Cremation Service, Cedar Rapids, is assisting the family.
Dolores was born July 3, 1936, in Harpers Ferry, Iowa, the daughter of Sam and Emma (Straate) Feuerhelm. She graduated from high school in Waukon, Iowa. Dolores was united in marriage to Noel L. Tollefson on September 5, 1954. She worked at KFC, Square D and Wells Fargo. In their younger years, Noel and Dolores were active in bowling leagues. They were faithful Iowa Hawkeye fans and loved spending time on their acreage. The couple filled their yard with flowers, fruit trees and vegetables; especially her favorite tomatoes. She will be remembered as a devoted homemaker that loved and cared for her family deeply.
Survivors include her daughters, Jackie Tollefson, Tracy (Jerry) Schmitz, and Pam (Scott) VandeZandschulp; sister, Dorothy Fields; seven grandchildren; four great-grandchildren; as well as many nieces and nephews.
Dolores was preceded in death by her parents; husband, Noel L. Tollefson; son, Kevin N. Tollefson; three brothers; and four sisters.
