Dolores M. Mrstik, 81, of Marion, Iowa, died Saturday, November 15, 2014, at Bickford Senior Living Center, Marion. Service: 11:00 a.m. on Tuesday, November 18, 2014, at Murdoch-Linwood Funeral Home & Cremation Service, Cedar Rapids, conducted by Rev. Dick Ernst-Chaplain Bickford Cottage. Family will greet friends from 9:00 a.m. until service on Tuesday, at the funeral home. Burial: Linwood Cemetery, Cedar Rapids.
Survivors include her children, Kenneth of Garrison, Iowa, David (Deb) of Phoenix, Arizona, Jerry of Cedar Rapids, Iowa, Neal (Lisa) of Arlington Heights, Illinois, Linda (Duane) Wetzel of Metropolis, Illinois and Diana Mrstik of Milwaukee, Wisconsin; one brother; three sisters; numerous grandchildren; two great grandchildren; and several nieces and nephews.
She was preceded in death by her parents; husband, Ray; and sister, Betty Ellis.
Dolores was born on January 9, 1933, in Cedar Rapids, Iowa, daughter of Leo and Lillie McGowan. On December 23, 1953 she married Ray Mrstik. He died November 28, 2008. She loved crocheting, flowers, plants and bird watching.
