Dolores Hampson (Connell)

Dolores Hampson, 98, of Marion, passed away at Willow Gardens Care Center on Monday, March 3, 2014, after a short illness. Services will be held at Lyons Funeral Home in Rensselaer, New York.
Dolores was born in Syracuse, New York on March 10, 1915, to Patrick and Clara (Rohlender) Connell. She married Arthur Hampson and lived in Rensselaer, New York, for most of her life. She also lived in Massachusetts with her daughter and spent the last 9 years living with her son, George Hampson, in Marion, Iowa.
Survivors include her daughter, Christine (Frank) Durrick of Plainville, Massachusetts; three sons, Arthur Jr. of Newark, New York, Edward (Linda) of Riverview, Florida, and George (Jean) of Marion, Iowa; nine grandchildren; and seventeen great-grandchildren.
She was preceded in death by her husband; her parents; a son, Ralph; a granddaughter, Teresa Hampson; three sisters; and two brothers.
