Dollie (Fleming) Garrison, 83, of 365 Dwight Drive, Marion, died Wednesday, September 2, 2009, at home. Graveside Service: 11:00 a.m. Saturday, September 5, 2009, Cedar Memorial Park Cemetery, Cedar Rapids, by Pastor Chad Jennings. The family will greet friends 10:00-10:45 a.m. at Murdoch Funeral Home and Cremation Center, Marion, on Saturday, before the service.
Survivors include her son, Ralph Dennis Chesrown of Marion; six grandchildren, Sarah (Dan) Ferin of Cedar Rapids, Teresa Yeries of Amana, Katie Hensley of Cedar Rapids, Daniel Chesrown of Denver, Colorado, Callie Chesrown of Marion, and Joseph Chesrown of Marion; seven great-grandchildren; many nieces and nephews; and her two dogs, Tippy and Skamp.
She was preceded in death by three husbands, Ralph Chesrown, Laverne Kuehl, and Jaye Garrison; her parents; one brother, Ellsworth Fleming; and one sister, Ruth Clark.
Dollie was born September 30, 1925, in Chenny, Kansas to Raymond and Clarissa (Kemp) Fleming. She was the owner and operator of Marion Crafts for over twenty years and worked as a home health aid for many years. Dollie was a member of Christ Community Church in Marion.
In lieu of flowers, a memorial fund has been established in Dollies memory.
