Dieudonne Kwizera, 15, of 1905 9th Avenue SW, Cedar Rapids, died Monday, June 12, 2006, from an accidental drowning. Services: 10:30 a.m. Friday, June 16, 2006, at First Assembly of God Church, Cedar Rapids, by Pastor Larry Sohn. The family will greet friends from 4 to 8 p.m. Thursday, June 15, 2006, at Murdoch-Linwood Funeral Home & Cremation Service, Cedar Rapids. Burial: Linwood Cemetery, Cedar Rapids.

Survivors include his parents, Shartier Ntanyungu and Regina Muhimpundu of Cedar Rapids; his siblings, Innocent Ndayizeye, Desire Irakoze, Cristera Ingabire, Pascal Niyinganza, Emmanuel Ntanyungu and Grace Ntanyungu, all of Cedar Rapids.

Also surviving are his maternal grandmother, Salome Batumubwira of Burundi, Africa; his paternal grandparents, Peter Gatoto and Libelata Nikobitungwa of Burundi, Africa; and many aunts, uncles and cousins.

He was preceded in death by his maternal grandfather, Charles Bitariho.

Kwizera was born September 15, 1990, the son of Shartier Ntanyungu and Regina Muhimpundu, in Burundi, Africa. He just finished his 9th grade year at Prairie High School, where he was very active in baseball, football and track. Kwizera also enjoyed drawing.
