Diane Weigel Wolf, 61, of Cedar Rapids, Iowa, passed away on October 6, 2024, at the Hiawatha Care Center in Hiawatha, Iowa. Visitation will be held from 5 to 8 p.m. on Monday, October 14, 2024, at Murdoch Funeral Home & Cremation Service in Marion, Iowa. Memorial service will begin at 10:30 a.m. on Tuesday, October 15, 2024, at Faith Bible Church.

Diane was born on February 1, 1963, in Lewisburg, Pennsylvania, the daughter of Richard and Jeane (Robinson) Weigel. After graduating from Warrior Run High School, she earned her Bachelor’s in Education from Concordia College in Ann Arbor, Michigan, and a Master's degree from Concordia University in Irvine, California. On August 12, 1988, Diane was united in marriage to Steven Wolf in Detroit, Michigan, and together, they adopted two girls, Katie and Laura.

Diane was a wonderful teacher. She served at Trinity Lutheran Church and School in Cedar Rapids from 1994 until 2003, where she taught 7th and 2nd graders. Diane taught Preschool and Pre-Kindergarten from 2009 until 2017 at Isaac Newton Christian Academy in Cedar Rapids. She was a faithful member of Faith Bible Church.

Diane was an avid doer. Throughout the years, she enjoyed scrapbooking, quilting, reading, volunteering, board games, music, and travel. Diane played saxophone in praise bands at church and danced at Donna’s Dance Place. Disney travel was a particularly important part of her life with family and friends. Diane shared her love for the Disney parks, cruises, and beaches with all who were interested. Diane’s passions were her family and her faith. Diane shared her faith through everything she put her hand to. Diane will be greatly missed by all who knew and loved her.

Diane is survived and lovingly remembered by her husband, Steven Wolf; daughters, Katie and Laura Wolf; parents, Jeane and Richard Weigel; sister, Beth Weigel of Juneau, Alaska; and sister-in-law, Susan Wolf.

Memorials in Diane’s memory may be directed to Faith Bible Church; Kiwanis Miracle League; Night to Shine at FaithLife Church; and Isaac Newton Christian Academy.
