Diane Joan Conaway

Diane Joan Conaway, 77, of Cedar Rapids, Iowa, passed away on Sunday, October 13, 2024, at St. Luke’s Hospital in Cedar Rapids. Celebration of Life will be held from 4 to 7 p.m. on Monday, October 21, 2024, at Indian Creek Nature Center.
Diane was born on December 9, 1946, in Belmont, Iowa, the daughter of Kenneth Burton and Lorna Lorine (Titkemeier) Thompson. She was a graduate of Eagle Grove High School and went on to attend Business College in Des Moines, Iowa. On October 9, 1965, Diane was united in marriage to Donald Elsworth Conaway Jr. in Eagle Grove, they later divorced. She worked at Physicians Clinic of Iowa for over 20 years until her retirement. Diane was a member of St. Paul’s Lutheran Church in Marion, Iowa, and enjoyed playing cards and Yahtzee. She enjoyed following football and was a fan of the Minnesota Vikings. Diane attended all her grandchildren’s sports and was a member of the “grandma’s club”. She will be greatly missed by all who knew and loved her.
Diane is survived and lovingly remembered by her daughter, Michelle (Jeff) Watts of Cedar Rapids; son, Christopher (Vicki) Conaway of Marion; four grandchildren, Mac and Sam Watts, Alyssa Conaway (fiancé, Chayse Schultz), and Chase Conaway; and sister, Donna Staton of Wisconsin.
She was preceded in death by her parents.
