Diana Panagos Erceg (Panagos)

Diana Panagos Erceg, died March 17, 2012, in Tucson, Arizona, at the age of 80 with her family by her side. She was born November 21, 1931 in Cedar Rapids, Iowa, to Tom and Anna Panagos. After graduating from McKinley High School in 1949, Diana received an Associates Degree from St. Basil's Academy in Garrison, New York, then attended the University of Iowa.
Diana moved to Tucson in 1985 to be with her children. She loved her family, being in the kitchen and making people laugh. She was a long-time breast cancer survivor.
Diana is survived by daughters, Anna (Calvin) Hare, Denise (Jeff) Rosenow and Stephanie (John) Rosenow; son, Joseph Erceg; eight grandchildren; and her sisters, Angeline Panagos and Mary (Bud) Moscrip.
A Trisagion Service was held in Tucson on Tuesday, March 20 at Angel Valley Funeral Home. A funeral service officiated by Father Ciprian Sas will be held at 11am on Friday, March 23 at St. John the Baptist Greek Orthodox Church in Cedar Rapids. Local arrangements by Murdoch-Linwood Funeral Home & Cremation Service, Cedar Rapids.
In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to St. John the Baptist Greek Orthodox Church or American Cancer Society in memory of Diana.
