Dennis K. Joslin, 54, of 310 5th Ave. SE, died Monday, at Dennis & Donna Oldorf Hospice House of Mercy in Hiawatha. Memorial Service: 11:00 a.m. Friday, July 17, 2009, at Faith Bible Church in Robins by Pastor Bryan Regier. The family will greet friends on hour before the service at the church. There will be a luncheon following the service. Arrangements by Murdoch-Linwood Funeral Home and Cremation Service in Cedar Rapids.
Survivors include his parents, Verne and Valene Joslin of Marion; his brother, Doug (Margy) Joslin of Marshalltown; three sisters, Linda (Steve) Ritz of Walnut Creek, California, Bonnie (Larry) Schuller of Cedar Falls, and Theresa “Teri” (Larry) Graw of Cedar Rapids; six nephews; one niece; four great-nephews; and two great-nieces.
He was preceded in death by his grandparents, Cash and Mary (Lorenzen) Joslin and Frank and Lula (Thede) Krumroy.
Dennis was born October 9, 1954, the son of Verne and Valene (Krumroy) Joslin in Cedar Rapids. After serving some time in the U.S. Army during the Vietnam War, Dennis fully enjoyed working many years with landscaping.
Instead of flowers, memorials may be directed to Hospice of Mercy in memory of Dennis.
