Dennis Ward Baugh

Dennis W. Baugh, 52, of 2259 C St. SW, Cedar Rapids, died Sunday, November 30, 2008, at St. Luke’s Hospital, Cedar Rapids, following a short illness. Memorial Service: 11:00 a.m. Wednesday, December 3, 2008 at First Baptist Church, Anamosa, by Pastor Ron Thatcher.
Survivors include his mother, Doris Hall; 4 sons, Dennis (Rachel), Robert, Derek, and Dalton; 3 daughters, Shawn (Darane), April (Cory) and Kendra Baugh; 6 grandchildren, Makayla, Alyssa, Alliyah, Keyahna, Jamari, and Ayda; 3 brothers, Jerry (Linda) Baugh, Mark Baugh, and Tim (Tracy) Hall; and 4 sisters, Bonnie (Richard) Bowers, Toni Kerkmen, Brenda Schroeter, and Kathy Hall.
He was preceded in death by his dad, William Hall, and a brother, Michael Hall.
Dennis was born December 11, 1955. He graduated from Center Point High School in 1974. Dennis worked at Johnson Gas Company and later at Yellow Cab as a cab driver. He loved spending time with his grandchildren, who all called him “Pappy.” He also enjoyed working crossword puzzles and glass etching.
A memorial fund has been established in Dennis’ memory.
