Delores Ann (Ayers) Dumond Hobson, 81, of Cedar Rapids, Iowa, died Thursday, December 15, 2022. Funeral services will be held at 1 p.m., Tuesday, December 20, 2022, Murdoch Funeral Home & Cremation Service, Marion, Iowa.
Delores was born June 17, 1941, in Iowa City, Iowa, the daughter of Darold and Nellie (Payton) Ayers. She worked as a custodian at Linn-Mar Schools for many years. Delores loved spending time with her grandchildren, her trip to Rome and trips to Red Lobster.
Delores is survived by her children, Peggy (Denis) McAllister, Joaney (Steve) Railsback, and Joseph (Lisa) Dumond; many grandchildren and great-grandchildren; two brothers, Clifford (Cheryl) Ayers, and Douglas Ayers; sister, Darlene Eiler; and numerous nieces and nephews.
She was preceded in death by her parents; husbands; grandson, Douglas; granddaughter, Sabrina; two sisters, Geraldine, and Angeline; and brother, Darold.
